पूर्व विधायक शैलेष पांडेय ने "वायरलेस न्यूज" द्वारा सिम्स यौन उत्पीड़न को लेकर उठाए मुद्दे पर इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन को पत्र लिखकर अपने स्तर पर कार्यवाही करने को कहा -

बिलासपुर (वायरलेस न्यूज) छत्तीसगढ के सिम्स में इंटर्न डाक्टरों पर वही पदस्थ डा राज और डा चंद्रहास ध्रुव पर यौन उत्पीड़न का मामला वायरलेस न्यूज ने कल जबर्दस्त तरीके से उठाया था जिस पर बिलासपुर के पूर्व विधायक श्री शैलेष पांडेय ने इसे आधार बनाते हुए छत्तीसगढ इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन और बिलासपुर इंडियन मेडिकल एसोसिएशन के प्रेसिडेंट को सिम्स में इंटर्न डाक्टरों पर सेक्सुअल हैरेसमेंट की कड़े शब्दों में निंदा करते हुए मामले पर संज्ञान लेने को कहा है ।

Subject: *Request for IMA’s Support Regarding Harassment of Medical Intern at CIMS Hospital in Bilaspur*

Sir,
As you are aware, there is a CIMS hospital and medical college in our city Bilaspur, where medical interns are on duty, and most of them are girl interns, whose security is the responsibility of the government. This month, the medical interns have written a letter to the Govt. and the Collector of Bilaspur, narrating their ordeal of how they are being harassed by a doctor at CIMS and threatened in various ways.

In light of this complaint, I request all the doctors of IMA to come forward and support the victimized interns. It is our responsibility to ensure that they get justice and a safe working environment.

I hope you will take this matter seriously and extend your cooperation.

बंगाल जैसी घटना की पुनरावृति न हो इसे ध्यान में रखते हुए अपने स्तर पर कार्यवाही करने को कहा है साथ ही इंटर्न डाक्टरों ने जुलाई में कलेक्टर बिलासपुर से मिलकर ज्ञापन दिया था उस पर कलेक्टर ने डीएमई छत्तीसगढ को पत्र लिखा था और उन्होंने जांच के आदेश भी दिए थे। उस पत्र की कापी भी एसोसिएशन को भेजा है।
